Moray Game Jam

In collaboration with Hunted Cow Studios and Moray College, the task was to create branding and marketing materials for the first event.
Initial ideas surrounded puns on Game Jam and such ilk, even including the logo as a jammy footprint of the original Hunted Cow Logo. But following client wishes, it evolved into a brand that could stand on it's own, further establishing a more unified effort. A sharp red and blue scheme is striking, and not usually seen around today's market, as people move further to direct contrasts. The dominant blue with a faded NES controller harkens back to both the old and iconic days of gaming, as well as Scotland's very strong affinity with blue. The angled cuts give the composition some a-symmetrical styling that give some life to both compositions. These can easily be carried through to other, smaller marketing materials. |
